Commentator

• Local Mode – iRacing cameras are controlled locally by the user.
• Slave Mode – iRacing cameras are controlled remotely by another iRacing Live Timing user.

To setup iRacing camera syncing several steps must be completed correctly:

• Each remote user must have their own iRacing Live Timing license and be running iRacing Live Timing and iRacing.
• Each user must connect to the same room in iRacing Live Timing.
• Only 1 user can be designated as the Broadcaster and this is selected within the F3 Configuration Panel / Connection Mode field. All remaining users must select Commentator.
• In the Commentator component the Broadcaster must select Local Mode and all commentators must select Slave Mode.
• Ensure that all users have loaded the same camera pack in iRacing and that the advanced camera tool is not turned on, toggle with Ctrl+F12.

All commentator cameras can now be controlled by the broadcaster and either viewed directly in iRacing or through the iRacing Live HUD or iRacing Live Streamer apps, to also view the overlay. This will allow a much more professional experience for your viewers as commentators are now always commentating about what the viewer is actually seeing on their screen instead of another battle or incident that only they are watching!
